J. Cameron Robinett, Chairman

J. Cameron Robinett has nineteen years of experience in private equity, venture capital, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, and related consulting services for public and private companies.

Cameron has been a Partner at Westshore Capital Partners ("Westshore") since its founding in 2006.  Based in Tampa, Westshore seeks to invest in privately held manufacturing, distribution, and service companies with well-defined competitive advantages and significant market share.  Westshore targets opportunities generating between $1.5MM-$7.0MM in EBITDA annually via owner recapitalizations, family succession recapitalizations, management buy-outs, and management buy-ins.

For thirteen years (in conjunction with Westshore), Cameron served as an analyst for The Gartman Letter, L.C., a single family office (SFO) and publisher of The Gartman Letter, a daily financial newsletter on the global capital markets addressing economic, political, and technical trends from both long-term and short-term perspectives.  In addition to providing research and investment concepts for the publication, Cameron was solely responsible for sourcing, executing, and managing the firm’s private equity, venture capital, and real estate portfolio.  He also developed various public market products including ETNs and ETFs and provided consulting services to a host of small to medium sized businesses.

Cameron began his career as an analyst with Florida Capital Partners (“FCP”) in 2003 and was responsible for conducting detailed industry and company research, screening new opportunities, monitoring existing portfolio companies, and maintaining relationships with the firm’s bank lenders.  Mr. Robinett also has experience in the development of joint ventures and strategic partnerships in both the public and private markets.

Cameron holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia.
